The Backwoods Chubby

The Chubby is our smallest and most portable and versatile Backwoods cooker and can easily be converted into a grill or a BBQ pit by simply removing the stainless water pan.

The Chubby has 4 racks 16 1/2 x 15 1/2 inches and comes with two extra sliders for more flexible arrangement of your meat. The cooking compartment is 13 inches high, 17 inches deep and 16 inches wide. The fire box is 2 inches high, 18 inches deep and 16 inches wide.

The Chubby charcoal pan is designed to hold approximately 10 pounds of briquettes, and the bottom grate that allows the ashes to fall through into an ash pan for easy cleaning.

Depending on the temperature you cook at, The Chubby can give you an 6hr to 10hr burn. It will hold 12 slabs of baby back ribs, 8 slabs of St. Louis style or 4 slabs of spare ribs. The Chubby will also hold 2-3 large briskets or 4-6 Boston Butts.
